PETE/CLEARWATER http://bit.ly/2e5viE4VisitStPeteClearwater/videos/10154026331099581/ The John’s Pass Seafood Festival was founded by the John’s Pass Village Association in 1980 to celebrate the abundant fishing industry of John’s Pass, “The Grouper Capital of the World”. This Festival is the longest running festival of its kind in Pinellas County and has brought hundreds of thousands of visitors for 34 years since its inception and continues to be a popular festival favorite with over 145,000 in attendance last year alone.  New this year, the event will grow from 3 days to 4, and will include additional activities on the East end of John’s Pass encompassing the entire footprint of the Village. As in years past, visitors of all ages can expect to enjoy a large variety of seafood, art & craft vendors, a Halloween block party, seafood competitions, a fishing tournament, live music, costume contests and more (info regarding individual activities, etc. will be posted on this page and also have their own event/invite page shortly. The Fishing and Seafood Industry is a Multi-Billion Dollar Industry for the State of Florida and provides thousands of jobs for our economy. Events such as this entice Tourists from a local, statewide & international levels to put “heads in the beds” and support the Tourist based economy that Pinellas County & the State of Florida have grown on.
